After the intensity of our March photography activities – Kamloops Camera House’ Barry Prost’s talk on Early 1900’s camera technology; the weekend Lightroom Workshop with Michael Breakey; the selected images for the ‘WILD & WET’ Exhibit being printed and framed; the show being hung at the Old Courthouse (it was a great day for a hanging!); the Opening Reception for ‘WILD & WET’ and the continuing hosting of the show during the School Spring Break – KPAC returns to its regular Wednesday night meetings for April (7 PM @ Henry Grube Education Centre). Wild and Wet is a juried exhibit of photo images taken within British Columbia by members of the Kamloops Photo Arts Club. Wild and Wet will display the impact of water on the environment and residents of this region.

KPAC is taking advantage of a special talk on ‘Historical’ photography being given at the Kamloops Museum and Archives this Thursday evening so will not meet on Wed. March 4th.
We’ve come a long way from glass plates to RAW capture. Come hear what photographers like Mary Spencer and before her Benjamin Baltzly (1835-1883) had to do to capture their iconic images. Barry Prost of Kamloops Camera House, will have examples of early cameras and gear to illustrate his talk on ‘Historical’ photography.
