There will be no meeting tonight – this is the deadline for competition submissions. This is the only competition that we will enter as a club this year. It should appeal to many of our members as it has a broad range of categories so let’s have a great turnout. KPAC members can submit a maximum of 2 images for consideration. KPAC members deadline to submit images for the competition is Jan 18, 2023. KPAC image selection for the competition is Feb 8, 2023. CAPA deadline for submissions is March 1, 2023

The CAPA Fall/Winter Competition is looking for images that reflect life living in Canada and is divided into the following themes: 1.The Cold-images reflecting low temperatures. 2. Man-made Structures/Objects. 3. Culinary images which relate to the preparation, cooking, presentation, serving and/or consumption of food. 4. Active Seniors-images which express the experience and benefits of an age-friendly community. 5. Nature/Wildlife-wild or domesticated animals.

The club entry to the competition allows for six images by six different photographers to be submitted.

No use of Artificial Intelligence imagery is allowed ie: Sky replacements or textures available/created by software.

All in-camera, on-camera and post-processing techniques are permitted. The photographer must have taken all components of the final image. Boarders, mats, etc are not permitted. (see CAPA website for editing criteria).

The image title should complement or contribute to the vision or message being presented in the image.
