Mar 17 – Print, Proof, Positive
March 17, 2021 @ 7:00 pm – 8:30 pm
When is an image a photograph? Join KPAC members Angelina Brooymans with Carrie and Norm Dougan as they discuss their experiences of commercial versus custom photo prints, and why they print their own images. In tonight’s program they’ll also talk about what you need to know for optimum quality prints when preparing your own images. What equipment, inks, papers, canvas etc. work well for specific prints will also be mentioned. The trio has much expertise; all are open to and welcome your questions.
Angelina worked for many years as a Registered Nurse in Vancouver where she was a member of the Lion’s Gate Camera Club. Moving to the Merritt area has allowed her to pursue photography full time. Pre-COVID she enjoyed extensive travel (camera in hand) with her husband, Bill.
Angelina has a well equipped home studio. She uses an Epson 44″ wide format printer and an HP 24″ inkjet. Independently printing her photos, give the scenes permanence and full control of the final product. Visit AngelinaBrooymansPhotography.com for more info.
Carrie and Norm Dougan are adjusting to the wilds of Westsyde after living for many years in Logan Lake. They work as a team on their many travels, spotting wildlife, post-processing images and creating presentations to share with photography, conservation and Outdoors groups.
