DESCRIPTION:At this meeting\, we will have four stations set up where members can practice some different genres of photography.  \n\n\n\nStation 1: Light Box Photography – good for product or still-life photography giving you a photo with good lighting\, no shadows and a white background. \n\n\n\nStation 2: Water Droplet Photography – catch that drop when it hits the water and create some interesting effects. \n\n\n\nStation 3 – Depth of Field – a practical session to help you understand depth of field.  \n\n\n\nStation 4: Ultra Violet Light – Black Light photography uses an ultra violet light source in otherwise low light conditions. Subjects that react with the UV light source\, like flourescent paint\, glow sticks\, certain liquids and white objects will glow intensely and almost magically. \n\n\n\nGear you will need: Camera\, lenses (eg. macro and 24-70mm and 70-200mm or something in those ranges)\, tripod\, flash and flash trigger. DESCRIPTION:The club is invited to capture the Kamloops Sprint and Super Sprint triathlon at the Kamloops Tournament Capital Centre at 910 McGill Road. The first relay kicks off at 8 am and the event wraps up around 2 pm. The triathlon begins in the pool\, where there will be great spots to photograph from\, and it then heads to the field house for the bike and run segments. This is a fantastic opportunity to practice your motion and shutter speed skills. If you’re interested in participating\, please send an email to triathlon@kamloopsphotoarts.ca  The triathlon details will be shared with you. In addition\, you will be sent a link to a Google Drive to upload and share your photos with the triathlon organizers and athletes. DESCRIPTION:Please join us for a photoshoot at Dufferin Wetlands located at 1840 Hillside Drive. Dave Whiting will be giving a short educational session on what birds/waterfowl you might see and tips on how to photograph them. There is a viewing platform at this location. After sometime photographing at this site\, members will relocate to the Pineview Ponds at 1925 Hugh Allen Drive.
