SUMMARY:October 18\, 2025 - Long Exposure Photoshoot at Chase Creek Falls
DESCRIPTION:For those who would like to learn or practice long exposure photography please join us on Saturday October 18th at the Chase Creek falls. This technique can turn everyday images into dream-like works of art and can be applied to water\, clouds\, vehicles\, people or anything in motion. \n\n\n\nYou will need: \n\n\n\nA camera that allows you to change shutter speed \n\n\n\nTripod \n\n\n\nNeutral Density filters or even a polarizing filter if you have them.  There will be extras on site if you don’t own these (77mm and 82mm) \n\n\n\nOptional: phone app such as Photopills for making exposure calculations. (10.99$ one time purchase). There are other free long exposure calculators in the app store.  \n\n\n\nBonnie Pryce will give a short in-service on Long Exposure Photography \n\n\n\nYou will learn: \n\n\n\nCamera settings for long exposure \n\n\n\nCalculation of shutter speed to determine the look you would like \n\n\n\nSuggestions for long exposure compositions \n\n\n\nTo get to Chase Creek Falls\, heading east on HWY 1 from Kamloops\, take the Shuswap Avenue exit into Chase and continue through downtown Chase\, turn right onto Coburn Street\, then left on Paquette Road. DESCRIPTION:Tonight KPAC members will judge entries for the CAPA 2025 Club Monochrome competition. Prior to the meeting\, please review the competition themes and criteria and brush up on your judging skills. We will be using the Zoom polling function for scoring.  \n\n\n\nThe highest scoring images from six different KPAC photographers will be submitted. \n\n\n\nFollowing the selection process\, a slideshow of the submitted Summer Bingo Photo Challenge images will be presented.
